THE ROLE & WHY IT EXISTS
Gravitee.io is taking APIs to the next level — we are the premier, open source API platform and we want everyone to know how amazing our software is. To make this happen, we are looking for someone passionate, curious and ambitious. This is where you come in.
We are currently recruiting for a Regional Sales Director to join our growing business. The successful Sales Director candidate knows how to manage all aspects of sales operations. Their main duty is to ensure sales revenues meet or exceed goals to keep the company profitable. Some examples of daily Regional Sales Director job duties include:
- Managing a team of 5 Account Executives
- Ability to operate successfully within a defined Go To Market system
- Maniacally focused on the performance of your team and your business through the lens of data
- Maintain a predictable and accurate forecast across all revenue types and KPIs
- Develop a strong understand of the the market and core competitors
- Train, mentor and motivate a high performing team
- Strong collaboration with Sales Engineering, Customer Success, and Marketing
- Cultivate long lasting relationships with existing and future customers
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Your daily to-do list will feature some or all of the following, but is not limited to:
- Creating & executing a territory plan to build out the region by adding new customers to the Gravitee platform, as well expanding the Gravitee footprint within existing customers
- Be an active co-seller across the full customer lifecycle alongside the Account Executives in your territory
- Presenting and articulating the business & technology value and differences that Gravitee will provide to prospective customers
- Managing end-to-end relationships with customers & partners, from first contact, through to POC, presentation and commercial negotiation
- Becoming a trusted extension to the customers team, to identify where Gravitee.io will play a pivotal role in enabling their technology & business strategies and drive customer references/satisfaction
- Working & communicating closely with internal teams; Product, Customer Success, Solutions Engineering & Operations to build out solutions & propositions for new & existing customers, as well as feedback where improvements & enhancements can be made
- Providing timely and accurate forecasting, reporting and general admin internally
ESSENTIAL SKILLS The right candidate will possess at least the following skills, if not more:
- Bachelors degree required
- 3+ years of experience as a Director level or higher sales leader at a high-growth B2B SaaS company
- Successful history leading high-performing sales teams
- Experience with inbound, outbound and partner driven GTM strategies
- Strong working knowledge of MEDDIC Sales Methodology
